This cool-down event is inviting all zinesters and zinesters-to-be to come to Vildnis and throw themselves into experiments with unconventional materials in bookbinding and zines. There will be a few knowledgeable people around who will share their ideas and thoughts on making books and we have gathered lots of supplies for you to play with: trash, paper, markers, thread & fabric and so on. It will be a casual hygge-day with tea and coffee and chitchat.

We finish off with a short talk between the experienced comicbook artist Benni (@bennizone) and Jam (@surmulefyr) about expressing queerness through zines and books before we will screen ”No Straight Lines” at approx. 14.40. It is a movie that combines art, comedy and history to make you laugh and think about the remarkable stories of five pioneering comicbook artists who broke the doors open and made LGBTQIA+ lives visible through their art.

We welcome you again to come by the Vildnis book store in nørrebro for a day of printing riso and making zines.

A zine is a self published magazine with roots in counter culture movements throughout history. This workshop in Vildnis we will aim to unleash our trashiest selves by making kitchy zines from garbage and glitter. ✨💫🫧

The workshop is free, so get your ticket and join us to make your own magazine.

The subject? Whatever you feel channels your inner trash-child. Could be visualisations of your best and worst spaghetti dinners, ranking cigarettes, quotes from your best friend group from the 6th grade or something completely different.

We will start out by having a short debrief about the history of zines and looking at examples and inspiration. Afterwards we will go on a garbagehunt in the streets and green areas nearby and end up back in Vildnis where we scan our trash and cut, glue, draw and fold our zines. This workshop requires no previous knowledge and is for everyone! 🌼
